MARKETER OF THE YEAR WINNER
As Global Marketing Leader, Karen’s focus is on FCM’s global strategic marketing plans. Karen is responsible for managing FCM’s worldwide marketing strategy, global branding and positioning, communications and public relations activity. She also drives the ongoing development of FCM’s global website, social and digital presence and ensures FCM has strong involvement in peak industry forums and events.
Key to this role is ensuring FCM has a strong and consistent brand presence across the world with a focus on both global and local branding and marketing activity.
Karen brings to her role more than 20 years of marketing experience within the travel and finance sectors and has worked across all marketing divisions including sponsorship, public relations, merchandising, direct, digital and social marketing along with retail brand marketing and strategy.
Karen joined Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) marketing division in 2004. During her time with FCTG Karen has held a variety of Marketing Manager positions within the company’s corporate, retail and niche businesses including Escape Travel and Travel Associates. She was also involved in establishing the social media strategy and presence for Flight Centre brand and the niche leisure brands in 2010/11.
